Statement made by the accused at the Police Station on the
8th August 1903.
"I deny kicking the man. I gave three young fellows a hit in
the ear with my hand. I am sure deceased was not one of them.
I hit them in the ear to disperse the crowd, as they would
not take three warnings. I have no knowledge of ever seeing
the man praxious to this accurrence"
